Brian is a long-time Austinite, having lived in Austin for 27 years. After moving from Iowa at a young age, he went to late elementary through high school in Northwest Austin and stayed around to go to UT for his undergrad degree. He became a follower of Christ his senior year of high school, hearing the gospel of Jesus’ love while on a ski trip with his friend’s youth group.
Brian has been married to his beautiful wife Melissa for 25 years, meeting each other as students in the University of Texas while in Campus Crusade. They have 4 kids, ages 21 to 13, two of whom are in college presently. They’ve moved a number of times during their marriage taking them to Missouri, New Hampshire and Minnesota. They’ve been back in Austin most recently for the last 7 years.
Brian works full time for 3M Company, where he is a finance leader for one of the divisions. He has an undergrad degree in finance from UT and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. He has a love of the mountains, outdoors, and backpacking. He’s also a fan of Austin FC, the Longhorns, St Louis Cardinals baseball, San Antonio Spurs, and St Louis Blues hockey.
Brian & Melissa have been a part of Austin Bridge from the beginning as part of the launch team coming out of The Well. They have a passion for teaching, marriage, and family. Brian and Melissa have led pre-marital mentoring with around 40 couples, and have been active in Safe Families.
